We are excited to share that Momentus has won a NASA iTech Award for new ideas in space. As an initiative by NASA’s Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD), iTech aims to find innovative ideas and proposed technologies with the greatest technical viability, and likely impact to advance space exploration and potential commercialization.
Having been in the ranks with 25 semifinalists, we know the caliber and commitment from all participants was exceedingly high. The other two winners of this NASA iTech 2019 Cycle I forum were Aris MD, for three-dimensional medical scans, and Enduralock, LLC, for a new fastener that permanently locks with high vibration resistance, while providing reversibility and reusability.
We are excited and humbled to have been selected by the esteemed team of judges at NASA for this award, and we look forward to NASA’s support, influence and experience with respect to our impact on future space exploration.
